ISA New Orleans Sections members – looking for a way to help donate to a great cause? Consider donating to help the Louisiana FIRST LEGO League (FLL) build new tournament tables for the robot games.
Local FIRST robotics teams, RC Torbotics 2080 and FLL Bayou Builders 4043 are teaming up to design and construct 12 new FLL robot game tables for state use, and are kicking off a fundraising effort to assist. Donor names will be recognized on the outer sidewalls of the new tables. For $65 you can sponsor an entire table, though any monetary amount is greatly appreciated. Checks can be made payable to HYPE Robotics (40213 Chandler Drive, Ponchatoula, LA 70454). Online donations can be sent to HYPE Robotics via PayPal through a donation link on www.bayoubuilders.org .
About Louisiana FLL
FIRST LEGO League (FLL) offers an opportunity for middle school students to design, build and compete with a robot constructed of LEGOs and to create and deliver a 5 minute research presentation on the annual competition theme. In Louisiana, FLL teams have been competing since 2003. Over the years, FLL has expanded from 15 teams to over 140 teams in the state with 12 qualifying tournaments leading to the State Championship.
