Ethical Challenges in Expert Witness Engagements
Presented by Arthur Zatarain, PE

Forensic engineering sounds like an intriguing profession, and it is! This is especially true when a forensic engineer also serves as an expert witness. Our speaker has many hard-earned insights after working in this field for over 20 years. The engineering investigations can be challenging when an expert balances the needs of his client with those of the legal proceedings. This presentation will provide brief case studies to illustrate the range of ethical issues that can arise in matters involving patent disputes, industrial accidents, and commercial disputes.

Safety Town Hall moderated by Paul Gruhn, PE, CFSE

You’ve heard plenty of canned marketing and engineering discussions about safety systems. Most people cover the same old boring topics and try and persuade you that theirs is the only system that should be considered. Most speakers never talk about topics that really matter. Our speaker leads general safety system classes lasting up to eight days and still can’t cover it all. The proposed town hall meeting will be an open question & answer format.
